I bet your potatoes will be fine! My dad is a dairy farmer who has gotten really into his vegetable garden in the past few years and "hills" the potatoes etc. My best friend's kid got into growing potatoes just by sticking a cut piece of potato (prob with an eye?) in a pot of dirt in the backyard and letting it go. Both get potatoes!
