I bet your potatoes will be fine! My dad is a dairy farmer who has gotten really into his vegetable garden in the past few years and "hills" the potatoes etc. My best friend's kid got into growing potatoes just by sticking a cut piece of potato (prob with an eye?) in a pot of dirt in the backyard and letting it go. Both get potatoes!

You probably do want to change out your soil/rotate your nightshades though so they don't get blight! https://extension.umn.edu/disease-management/early-blight-tomato-and-potato

I enjoy your updates! Inspired to find something where I live that has less expensive plants. I usually start with seeds, but I feel I'm too late this year for that.
